July 22, 2008 - Added date of next Annual Meeting to home page, May 2nd, 2009 at Bonsal, NC with the New Hope Valley Railway. Added date for next train show at which we will have a table selling books, t-shirts, etc.

September 15, 2006 - A DNS change was made due to a large server relocation over the weekend at our host provider (Ibiblio). NSHS was down for a day.

June 5, 2006 - Posted call for donations and railroad memorabilia for the rebuilding of the Oakboro depot. The Oakboro Historic Foundation and Town are requesting any donations that can help with the construction costs and most importantly Norfolk Southern Railroad/Railway railroad memorabilia, items, pictures that can be donated for display and use by the Museum.

May 10, 2006 - Posted newspaper article about the Havelock depot being moved. Newspaper article was submitted by a lady from Williamston, NC. Added 2 photos to Gallery submitted by P.P. Coulter, Jr. One is of Derrick NS 900 right after it was coverted to a diesel engine. The other is an aerial view of Carolina Yard in Chesapeake, VA. Also added information about Warren Calloway's Photo CDs for sale in the Store.
